Cottage is a room made for two kids, with 2 beds under, a stair case with drawers leading to a playroom that can also be used for a 3rd guest for sleepovers, and a slid used more by adults than kids! this structure can hold the whole family for bedtime stories -photo by:Iva
space for a 2 year old and a 6 year old. This would create a great space, but I want an economical way to reproduce this. This is a fantastic, creative use of space. i want an adult version!
I have a few queries though regarding the same... What is the minimum ceiling height required for this? Can this be dismantled at a later point? can we customize the top portion in a different manner for slightly older kids? Thanks in advance :)

adding a decorative ceiling to a child’s room?
Where can I find the locker dresser? I can't seem to find any where the drawers pull out like a dresser instead of opening like an actual door.
would a person be able to purchase the materials? Thank you
artwork is a piece by photographer Jeffrey Milstein (jeffreymilstein.com) who has done a whole series of photos of the undercarraige of planes. You can find a source near you through his webiste.
When I did a search for "kids locker style bureau," I got a bunch of different options, one from a company
there are a few ways to add a decorative touch to a child's room. I really like when the interests and personality of a child are really evident in the room. You can wallpaper or mural the ceiling. If that sounds too permanent, decals are also really fun as well. Most kids will probably outgrow their interests

across a branch with a good shape, take it home, clean it up and put it to work as functional decor. A twisted or gently curving branch can become a one-of-a-kind clothing rack, while a slim, straight branch can be used as a curtain rod. Smaller pieces can be turned into a mobile or simply plunked in

I find a similar desk. Thanks.
these at a bunch of different sources, places like HomeGoods and Pier 1, I think. I have seen a lot of letters of various sizes in the vintage listings on Etsy.
That is a Parsons style desk and can be found almost anywhere. In fact, you can even get them unfinished and do your own painting.

together like a bench at the foot of this room and can be easily moved around when an extra seat is needed.
As super-chic as the Parsons desk looked in the room above, it is also a great option for a child's room and is a productive spot for getting homework done, building a model, or spreading out a jigsaw
throughout a room is a fantastic approach to design; recreating the Amazon with frog covered walls and water feature nighstands is...a DISASTER.

decorating a home can be daunting. Lauren relies on kid-friendly fabrics, slipcovers and plenty of attractive storage. "Don’t give up just because you have kids," she says. "It’s not an excuse, just a challenge to rise above."
