I am trying to make the peg board at home cuz u cant get in pakistan so i want to know the distance between the holes
May i know whats is the wall board name? I think that original board already have holes like that right? this is great idea, so we will not nail or make holes on our wall.

one more! How did you get the rods to stay up? Did you drill through the board and into the wall?
I found different material pegboards in Home Depot, which one should I use?
pegboard. You can get them at a home improvement warehouse store, but you'll need to paint it yourself. Ask the folks at the paint counter what they recommend, but I just lightly sanded mine, then painted and the paint went on great.

Not sure I even see a frame on this map. Could have been adhered to a large, lightweight piece of something;particleboard, plywood, foam core boards, etc. It's sitting off the wall a bit, looks terrific. Decorating with maps is FUN!
