What is the orange plant in the back? Very beautiful design!
This is one of the most inspiring xeriscape examples on houzz. Can you please name the plants shown instead?
I'm so glad you like the examples of the xeroscape landscaping. If you want to find out about each plant and the names, please contact Scott Ward of White Sage Gardening. He is the mastermind behind this garden.
some of these plants are interesting
gorgeous, large succulents planted in a courtyard or entrance. I love succulents,
lanscaping around pool. These plants look interesting.
not have a large array of plants, but the plants that are in place are so striking that the space feels full. Setting each specimen in its own space rather than crowding them together allows the homeowner to enjoy the individual beauty of every plant.

Hi can I know what s the plants with the round smooth surface leaves close to the pink flower on left hand?:)
Sry and can I know what s that round white flower on top of the right corner? Thank you!
Yes, that is a type of allium — specifically, a culinary leek. I originally planted them to cook with, but liked the blooms so much that I just let them go to seed. They come back year after year.
Fertilize flowering water plants: Water is always welcome in dry climates, and a small water garden can be the ultimate refreshment during the intense heat of July. It takes a lot of energy for water plants to bloom nonstop, and they will perform best if they’re on a regular schedule for feeding.

hydrangea with Spirea 'Little Princess in front of it. Perennials are daisies, Black Eyed Susans, and Russian sage. The ground cover is juniper. The pink flower is an annual Cleome.
Mixed with other woody plants, creeping juniper adds texture and contrast, especially
in height and plant varieties. Good use of flowers that grow both tall and short. I like tall growing flowering plants that bloom at various times.
In naturalistic settings pair low junipers with wildflowers such as false sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides) and helenium, or plant clumps of airy panic grass (Panicum virgatum) or fountain grass
notice how white flowers dominate (not good) otherwise beautiful composition.
eventually cover a large area, depending on the cultivar you choose. Juniperus squamata ‘Blue Star’ will spread to 4 feet with maturity in full sun; the plants have silver-blue needles, which provide good visual contrast.

how do you feel about this planting?
Arid and semiarid climates were the first natural xeriscapes; they require rugged plants that can survive a drought

Purple fountain grass is one of those perfect plants that provides color and textural interest in mixed perennial beds, meadow gardens and container plantings.
I love this arrangement, could you say what these flowers are?
The variety of plants and colors.
Purple fountain grass is one of those perfect plants that provides color and textural interest in mixed perennial beds, meadow gardens and container plantings.
plants in container, esp. purple fountain grass

The brilliantly clashing colours of plants
addition to perennial garden beds as well as larger container plantings, and gardeners in nearly any zone can find a use for it. Its height makes it a great plant for the middle part of your garden, mixed in with flowering perennials or planted en masse for a more meadow-like look. If you opt to use purple
