Outdoor Chess set on Paver Driveway
unique idea, maybe a patio instead of a driveway?
Maybe a bit more grass amongst the tiles.. but looks great here as a driveway
A checkerboard driveway serves as a chessboard. I suppose the players just need to be sure no one needs to back out of the garage midgame.
You can also apply this idea to pavement. Alternate concrete or slate square tiles in the driveway so you can play when the mood strikes without committing to a precision lawnmower.See more oversize chess sets

Dawn wanted to create a green permeable patio and so she reclaimed the stones you see in the photo from another project where we had just broken up a driveway and walkway. First we removed approximately 5" of earth to allow for the thickness of the concrete and to insure that we would hit the finish elevation
