I lime the lime and teal colours together - although would need to limit the accents - could easily be too much!
Benjamin Moore's Edgecomb Gray, with teal and green accents. Floor is similar colour to ours here.
If you have furnishings in bold shades, use those same colors in smaller doses elsewhere in the room. Here, lime green ottomans and a blue accent chair feel coordinated within the scheme due to a variety of accessories in the same shades.

(which is actually found on houzz website http://www.houzz.com/discussions/267524/Mixing-greys-and-tans) I would color suggestions for carpeting and an accent wall. Preferably darker for the carpeting. (16 ft ceilings so the fireplace is pretty substantial.) Many thanks in advance!

You can create moldings like this with cheap cut-to-order pieces of trim from the hardware store, tack nails and some paint. I love the gold accents.
