Tip: When using an eclectic material palette, De Wolf recommends using each material more than once. “This keeps it from looking like a hodgepodge,” she explains. For instance, the stainless steel on the countertop is echoed in

How are the stainless and wood seamed?
I am currently planning my kitchen remodel but I have the question above to answer. I am covering the peninsula with stainless for a cooktop, and the main counter will be granite. I hope you can help
Thanks! It appears this stainless falls in the middle of the butcher block..is that correct?
what size is the sink and where can we buy one? i love the backsplash integrated with the sink.
pieces wouldn't necessarily be glued together. The wood top would be screwed from underneath to the cabinets it sits on, and the ditto for the stainless steel one. A bean of clear silicone would be used between the two in order to avoid a crevasse from crumbs, but not to glue them together per se.

wash sink (the one I had scoped out is an Advance Tabco . . . is that what you bought?) My real question is about the fixture on that sink. Would LOVE to know what it is and where you bought it, because it is perfect! Thanks for sharing!
What size and who is the manufacturer of the stainless sink
I realize all my answers are about a year too late. I've never looked back at this article - sorry! The sink was here when I moved in so I'm no help!! I love it... very useful near the stove. Great for filling up heavy pasta pots.
I don't know about the pot rack, but the bar above the sink looks like its from the Ikea Grundtal collection

How do you protect a stainless steel sink?
Anyone know what type of sink this is?
Although stainless steel sinks are pretty bulletproof, there are still substances and practices that can damage them. -Products that contain chlorine bleach, and other harsh chemicals often found in building materials and acidic cleaners can damage stainless steel. -Avoid using
sponge and water. Also make sure that you try to dry the sink. Tap water can also have staining chemicals in it. -If you would like, kitchen supply stores carry stainless steel protectors, but I don't think they are necessary if you just make sure to rinse it off and dry.
using abrasive cleaners to clean the sink. The chemicals will roughen the surface, and weaken the sink. It is the smooth finish that protects the sink from rusting. -Any time you have any chemicals in the sink, including even dish washing detergent, make sure to wipe down everything with a normal sponge
