Kitchen - eclectic kitchen idea in Other with stainless steel countertops, an integrated sink, open cabinets, dark wood cabinets, metallic backsplash and metal backsplash

The primary style of this new lounge space could be classified as an American-style pub, with the rustic quality of a prohibition-era speakeasy balanced by the masculine look of a Victorian-era men’s lounge. The wet bar was designed as three casual sections distributed along the two window walls. Custom counters were created by combining antiqued copper on the surface and riveted iron strapping on the edges. The ceiling was opened up, peaking at 12', and the framing was finished with reclaimed wood, converting the vaulted space into a pyramid for a four-walled cathedral ceiling. This kitchen proves small East sac bungalows can have high function and all the storage of a larger kitchen. A large peninsula overlooks the dining and living room for an open concept. A lower countertop areas gives prep surface for baking and use of small appliances. Geometric hexite tiles by fireclay are finished with pale blue grout, which complements the upper cabinets. The same hexite pattern was recreated by a local artist on the refrigerator panes. A textured striped linen fabric by Ralph Lauren was selected for the interior clerestory windows of the wall cabinets.

Our clients are married professionals who felt like they were previously living in a dorm room that lacked style and sophistication. In the beginning of the process, helping them find their style was a challenge (but a super fun one!). We love how this evolved into a cool, cozy, bold, and eclectic space with just the right amount of quirk and edge. ?? (Plus, that emerald green velvet sofa by Roger & Chris is just so ?)
