Hi there, I live in the US but have a lot of relatives in Northern Europe, DK to be exact. I keep trying to work with designers here to remodel our home to get this look that is so prevalent and so awesome
awesome in Europe...white washed oak floors, the white painted brick....is there a name for this style? How would you characterize it? Any design sites or magazines you could direct me to to find out more? many thanks.
base) I guess! I myself would like to call my style eclectic, I love all kinds of styles, patterns and designs from different era's. It's a mixture of (a lot of) vintage and second hand with some designer classics from for example Verner Panton and Kartell. I love it when things have a bit of a 'toy like'

Would this color work with a room that has half wood?
The walls of the my son's room are half wood. The bottom half is wood and the upper half is just wall. How would I incorporate any color in the room?
What is the make, color of the wood floor in this picture.
options, you can either paint directly over the wood, I would recommend this if the wood is not original oak or anything antique. Naturally you need to sand and prime first. Then paint the upper portion the same color or any other color. Or simply leave the wood and paint the green on top.

big wood table. square makes easier discussion sharing.
Love the inlay of the wood. Here it is done in a cross pattern but we like the idea of just having a thick band of a different kind of wood running down the centre of the table. Like the dark colour too!
