Winter Cabin
love the idea of the sliding doors to lock up the house when away for long periods. Wondering what the rest of this house looks like. Do you have anymore photos or maybe even the floor plans?
You did a lovely job; if one of the few cabins in the back country I've lived in, had ever looked and felt like this, I might still be there today.... I would really like to know what color was used on those barn
They are sliding doors, and they are all functional. They slide over all the doors and windows, so you are able to board up the house, so to speak. The color is a solid Allagash by Cabot.

providing views to the South and East. Its generous overhang keeps out the hot summer sun, but brings in the winter sun. The house is a hybrid of ‘farm house’ and ‘country house’. It simultaneously relates to the active contiguous farm and the classical imagery prevalent in New England architecture.
