Those are MDF 1x10s with a little bit of an "eased edge". We installed them over drywall with a gap of about 1/4" or so.
I couldn't tell you... sorry! This house was built for a client and all of the furniture is theirs.

The vertical pieces were wood 2x4s already in the wall. We added 2x4 horizontally to make an interesting design and then applied thin drywall to all the edges. Prime and paint!
