The rich combination of textures and materials comes together near the entry as the smooth concrete floors end in the honed black granite fireplace plinth, and in the band of spotted gum wood floors which transition smoothly into gray granite pavers under the custom entry bench. No, the city where this project was done did not require glass over an existing wood-burning fireplace.

In a remodel, what order would I pursue to get the flush floorboard look? floor, floorboard, or drywall first?
Not sure how flush floorboards are installed. Do you redo the floors first, then the drywall, then install the floor floorboards? Someone please explain.
Flooring first, since it has to extend underneath baseboard and drywall. See this website for a detailed view. http://blog.buildllc.com/2010/10/3-modern-base-details/

1/2" wide steps in the drywall ceiling
The Z shape bead that u finished the drywall ceiling with, is it a flat one or bullnosed?
What profile ( bead) did u use for drywall ceiling
Hi - Great question. We applied two additional layers of 1/2" drywall in the stepped pattern that you see in photo to create the coffered areas. The drywall steps are then finished with a drywall edge bead in the shape of letter "z". This makes for sharp edges that look amazing.
than the walls but less shine than the trim in the photo above. Our preference for is a Matte finish for the soft depth and how forgiving it is for drywall imperfections. There are many great brands of paint on the market these days that are durable and washable in a matte or eggshell finish. Thanks

residence, the drywall was partially installed to roughly 24" above the floor and 12" around the openings (leaving room around the floor and the cased openings). The wood floor was installed to the studs and then trim was installed flush with the drywall. After the trim was installed, the drywall was installed
I really love the reveal used on the drywall at the base, carrying that through around the windows and the same around the doors. How is that done? Is the baseboard flush with the drywall and the wood floor under the drywall? Then around the windows and doors (not shown in this picture
Normally in construction, drywall is installed and then the trim is installed. The wood flooring is installed to the edge of the drywall and then the trim (baseboard) hides the gaps between the wall and the floor. This process allows for a higher margin of error as the seams (connection of walls and

Is this dual-sided fireplace electric? Also, who is the manufacturer? Thank you!

Very nice indoor outdoor fireplace concept
L-shaped opening fits itself below an angular roof and a door and fireplace below. The deep-set window — open at the corner but otherwise set back from the eave and frames — appears to be one piece of glass.
An outdoor-indoor double fireplace in a house that is obviously concerned with blurring the line
