I love the front door! Can you tell me the manufacturer?
outside / exterior of the material near the front door? Left side sandstone tile? Right side, concrete tile? We are just choosing material for the outside of our house and absolutely LOVE your design and workmanship. Pity you are not in Australia!
These steps are a tan lueder limestone and have a honed
honed finish. This stone is very porous and isn't slippery. The steps are supported by the foundation. We are actually in Austin, not San Antonio!
These steps are solid slabs of 3 1/2'' thick limestone with 8'' overhangs.

Can these be done in a standard front step rectangular look?
what is the material used for both the walls and steps?
Hi Jross - Sorry but we did not build the house itself. In this picture: we designed and built the front entry court, radial stone steps, pillars, bluestone walk, bluestone landing, and lighting.
columns are 24"x24" and the stone coping on top overhangs 2" on each side so that makes it 26"x26" on top. The height, as measured from the second step to the top of the stone coping is 26".
advice I could give you would be to hire a licensed landscape architect. Show him/her the pictures of what you like and they can properly design your front entrance and walkway with the right proportions and the right style so that it fits the character and scale of your home. little bit of step. Not too high so don't think need rails. Makes me think of brick area by little garage drive thru door
across the steps. The ones in the low wall lining each side of these steps are unobtrusive but provide sufficient lighting at night.
Front steps - curved front bottom steps with theater lights
same stone for step and support
rooflines and the front door carved
Front steps, not curved but will sides and coping.
Looking sideways. Sidelights will cast a glow across the steps. The ones in the low wall lining each side of these steps are unobtrusive but provide sufficient lighting at night.

What is the height and depth of the steps? Thank you.
Thanks for your question. The wood is tight knot cedar with clear cedar boards at the nosing of the steps. The finish is Sikkens Cetol Dek in 078 'Natural'. Hope that helps. Rick

I am curious about the construction process for the front steps. Is it a wood frame?
The columns are not solid but made of 1"x10" cedar material wrapped around the structural support of the front entry roof. Thanks for the inquiry.
The stone work in the entry steps looks like a river.

about some stone? Trying to match won't work, so choose a completely different finish. Or how about wood that's stained to coordinate with your gray front. Use the Houzz search button to look at photos of entryways to get ideas. Click both on "photos" and "ideabooks."
