cabin on Coeur D’Alene Lake in North Idaho. Uptic Studios considered the combined occupancy of two families, providing separate spaces for privacy and common rooms that bring everyone together comfortably under one roof. The resulting 3,000-square-foot space nestles into the site overlooking the lake
of the lake from almost every angle.
The whole project was featured in Jan/Feb issue of Design Bureau Magazine.

Love the feel of this house
cantilever roof with glass hallway may be interesting to connect garage and house
On the site of an old family summer cottage, nestled on a lake in upstate New York, rests this newly constructed year round residence. The house is designed for two, yet provides plenty of space for adult children and grandchildren to come and visit. The serenity of the lake is captured with an open
of the house presents a subdued presence with a courtyard enclosed by three wings of the house.

The Lake Forest Park Renovation is a top-to-bottom renovation of a 50's Northwest Contemporary house located 25 miles north of Seattle.
I have been a huge fan of houses like this--sustainably built, large windows, lots of wood and metal features, very open and functional. But outside of "PNW home" I never have any idea what to search for or how to research it...
Hi,
Thanks for your question about the front door at our Lake Forest Park project.
Yes, I designed the custom front door and it was fabricated
floats on a wall of glass.
Also an awkward example of my question of an easterly row of clear story of the front of the house.
Upper clear story windows for front of house to create a lantern glow as we come home in the evenings. May not be many windows on front as this is the poor view windows so
over this house on the water in total seclusion and privacy. A little compound of rooflines reminds me of a camp house arrangement of kitchen/ dining and bunk houses. It seemed very appropriate for a lake retreat on Lake Tadpole. Each “building” is rotated and angled to soak in the best views and creates
cedar on a bed of stone and a splash of red brings on and almost Adirondak cabin feel.

Colors on Alabama. Rest of project/house is great
to come on in and enjoy a hot beverage in front of a roaring fire after a day spent outside in the crisp autumn air. Red doors look fantastic on homes with natural wood siding, but if your siding requires paint, you can't go wrong with shades of brown, tan and taupe.
