What color paint was used on the walls and baseboards
It is an epoxy, a very hard process to get right. This is most likely Westcoat liquid dazzle in silver. My husband owns Winwin Homes Inc. They installs these floors and they are very labor intensive. I am a DIYer and would NOT suggest doing it yourself. The process involves grinding the existing floor
mopping with soapy water. I recommend installing a baseboard along with the concrete floor as well, even though you think you may not need it. Just imagine what a dirty mop would leave behind in the crevice where the floor meets the wall if there were no baseboard. And it will make your choice look finished

What is the height on that baseboard?
Is that a 1-piece baseboard moulding, or a 2-piece (flat board + trim)

know the ceiling height? Baseboard? Crown molding?
Hi Mr. Abrams, you have a beautiful gift. I love your work. I would like to ask your opinion for wall paint. I installed crema marfil marble but
What did you use for the baseboards?
The ceiling height is 12'-0" - I believe the baseboard is approx. 9".

how tall is the baseboard trim
piece of 1x6? Also, is the baseboard a piece of 1x8?
I am refreshing my prairie home and am considering adding up to 12 inch baseboards when we place wide plank natural oak wood floors. I like the look of really deep baseboard from the old farmhouses
The baseboard trim is 5/8" x 8" (actual size 7 1/2"). The depth of the baseboard trim should always be a bit narrower than the casings so they can be received by the casings.

trim around doors and windows is different than baseboards
The rule of thirds. Installing a chair rail, with or without wainscoting, will divide the vertical plane — the walls — into multiple areas. If you want to make
the room to feel taller place wainscoting 1/3 up the wall. Baseboard 7%of the total height. Casings 1/2 the baseboard.

wainscoting can match the wood trim, it doesn't have to. For example, a painted wood baseboard and wainscot of simple, recessed panels works well with the stained wood window and door trim.

Normally in construction, drywall is installed and then the trim is installed. The wood flooring is installed to the edge of the drywall and then the trim (baseboard) hides the gaps between the wall and the floor. This process allows for a higher margin of error as the seams (connection of walls and
was partially installed to roughly 24" above the floor and 12" around the openings (leaving room around the floor and the cased openings). The wood floor was installed to the studs and then trim was installed flush with the drywall. After the trim was installed, the drywall was installed to fill the gaps
love the reveal used on the drywall at the base, carrying that through around the windows and the same around the doors. How is that done? Is the baseboard flush with the drywall and the wood floor under the drywall? Then around the windows and doors (not shown in this picture but others) how is that
