Beautiful! Was this house a once raised ranch at one time?
What a finely detailed home. Who is the manufacturer of the entry door?
could the barn side entry be with a second storey peak? PLUS a split level means limited stairs up or down. AND you could have the right set of stairs to basement lead to mudroom and left set lead to bedrooms
Sunken entry in the front not a bad idea. If you can still make it look 'grand'

We're building a new home with 16' ceiling in the entry. I don't know if a ladder will be high enough to change the lightbulbs in the fixture, plus I don't want to climb up there. What do people do when they have this
Its called an Aladdin lift. Its not that expensive. you can find a good one for about a grand.
one story board and batten for two story entry
Paneling in this entry stops before it reaches the ceiling, almost reading as an exaggerated wainscoting. Pale lilac walls and a touch of turquoise enhance this room beautifully.
This has to be one of my favorite wainscoting applications. In this two story foyer, the paneling has been installed up

there any photos aiming up to the ceiling of this entry?
Hello! We are presently building a home in southwestern Ontario with a similar entry plan (closets flanking the front door). I would love to see an alternative view of the two storey entry to see how the walls extending from the closets meet
Nice entry! Can you please tell me what colors & brand are the walls?
Great entry! Wall paint color please (top and bottom)?
This foyer has to be one of the nicest I've ever seen, it's truly unique and inviting and I would love to achieve this look in my home. Would you mind Sharing the name of the
finding that out. Beautiful entry!!!
We love the entry, and particularly the symmetry of the design. Do you have more pictures showing different views of the entry, including the stairs?

is a standard white one or possibly light almond?
How can I decorate a two-story entryway ?
Narrow 4' x 15' entry, with half stairs going up and down in middle of one side -and empty two story wall on opposite wall
Where did you purchase the mirror and narrow entry table?
I am trying to do something like this with my entry way.. can u pls tell me the dimensions of the mirror?? and our ceiling is 10' so what is the right height for a console?? i already bought the mirror
this look too and found the table on hayneedle by searching houzz, the ottomans in a similar fabric with nailhead trim on one kings lane. The lamp I found a really similar one in gray tones at Lamps Plus. Good luck!
One kings Lane, wayfair? Those sources are invariably selling Chinese made goods that always have to be assembled. You don't know the real source of the wood and or working conditions. Not to mention the carbon footprint of getting it here. Furniture should be made

If I may ask, I really like the casing used around the doors. Is this a one-piece or back-band approach? How wide is it? Very nice work!
My guess would be that this is the informal entry to the home where back door guests are best and graciously welcomed.
Entry ceiling height was boosted, and given a small chandelier. This is much more welcoming than a grandiose double story space.

charming- this works but we can't tell you exactly why. maybe a touch too small for main entry and too big for secondary entry

I am also interested in the light fixture. Is there a way to obtain a larger photo so I can see the color of the fixture. I am interested for my entry way. Jan in Corpus

The use of salvaged brick and antique doors give this entry foyer a unique feel that is not easily labeled.
I love this entry. What color of paint did you use?
