Cool idea, sliding door on exterior to close up the house in the winter for security.
sliding doors that cover windows & doors for security & weather protection
Enjoying the Vermont winter and having a great spot where your dog can play might be your dream. The choice of peeled logs for the columns and beam of the porch are perfect for a home in the forest.
A simple pile by the front door, especially underneath a covered patio, is very convenient.
A winter cabin can go unused for a time, so keeping the local fauna out of the cabin can be a challenge. Securing windows and doors with sliding barn doors is smart. Don't forget to have a good-size front porch. No sense in letting all

spring, early-summer green fruit to late-summer deep red (ripe) grapes and full foliage, vibrant foliage in the fall, and gnarled naked vines in the winter. Loved by hummingbirds and hummingbird moths. Naturally sun-dried "raisins" provide food for birds. More or less drought tolerant once it's established
Autumn: Colorful foliage; the leaves change to bright reds, oranges and yellows; the grapes will continue to ripen, then start to dry, like raisins Winter: Bare vines; the peeling bark on twisted and gnarled vines is both elegant and rugged.

Can the ground face process be done on site after installation?
thank you very much ! i appreciate your compliments. the reason is twofold: 1. the block we use is 'ground face" CMU...they are ground smooth in the factory so they are more uniform in appearance. 2. our contractors use skilled masons who pay attention to uniformity
the blocks are 'ground face CMU" they have a horizontal 'rake' joint and a siloxane sealer
