This modular, pre-fabricated architecturally designed home is so different from the suburban federal style home in which I currently live. But, there is something refreshing

where is the entry to the above garage rooms - must be stairs in garage. Doesn't totally work, but like the multi level design options around this.
Overall style and scale (not interior spaces...don't want soaring ceilings in this climate)
The metal roof , simple lines and the proportions make this a great design!

Featured in the May 2012 Marin AIA Home Tour, this 4,000 sf. remodeled hillside home was designed to improve the curb appeal of the exterior while the majority of the work focused on opening up the interior spaces to the views beyond. Windows are from Thermal Windows (aluminum) and Paint color is SW 7029 Agreeable Gray... Which is quickly becoming a go-to color for me on interiors as well. It's not warm or cool, but somewhere in the middle.

The Brown Residence
Despite being located in an expansive golf community, the Brown residence celebrates stunning desert views from almost every space. Its careful design makes this possible as views to neighboring houses are edited out focused instead on distant mountains. While the residence presents an unassuming, modest
