I am looking for an approx. 2600 sq. ft. house with 35x55 footprint. I love the style of this home.
craftsman style home front exterior. Classic look
This shingled Philadelphia-area house shows how varied Craftsman style can be. The prominent front and side gables give it tremendous presence, and the unique hipped porch roof holds a small balcony. Notice the variation of the columns compared to the previous houses shown. The pier has been eliminated
attic space. Also notice that this elevation is symmetrical, as opposed to the previous examples. Few styles function well in both symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations.

This would be in the category of "Arts & Crafts" "Craftsman Bungalow". I adore these homes! All about warm woods...and beautiful solid architecture. The original ones often had some built ins in the dining rooms & gorgeous light fixtures as well.

A new craftsman bungalow with historic charm.
Leaning toward the foursquare identity, this new Craftsman revival exhibits the tapered upper column common to the style. Stone-covered piers characteristically break the floor line of the porch. A nicely detailed belt line divides a lower floor with clapboard siding from the shingled upper floor. Notice

Craftsman. The traditional Craftsman home builds from the Prairie Style with addition of exposed rafters, decorative brackets under the eaves and stone porch supports and chimney. Updates: This new construction played up the Craftsman style home with more complex roof lines and color combination.

The siding is typically wooden clapboard (though shingled siding is also common), but porch piers and foundations are often made of stone. Brick, concrete block and stucco are also sometimes used.
