Such a beautiful home. Can you tell me if the railings were custom made and if so, what type of wood was used? Also is the top stained
They are all Sherwin Williams Colors- The eaves are Prioleau's Wharf, the siding is Aunt Betty's China and the trim around the windows is Willow Tree

What was used for sealing/weatherproofing the exterior wood (doors, windows)? What is the best sealant for natural wood? How often would this need sealing? I live in Pennsylvania where there are fairly cold winters and fairly hot summers.

chose a dark bronze (to work with the door hardware) marine-grade paint. HM
exterior wood surfaces exposed to water, sunlight and temperature changes. In San Diego we have perhaps the mildest climate in the 48 - the finish in the image is now 4 years old and is holding up very well. I expect a few more years before minor cosmetic work will be required. Check with your local painting
panel over wood framing. We had quite a few details in order to get the message across to the builder. Sorry I don't have a recommendation for a fabricator in your area. You may want to start with your architect to get the details right, then check with your builder to get a recommendation for a quality

I dont know any specific resource I would use since the best detailing depends on many different factors. Your builder or architect should be able to advise, but its important to make sure that the wood inside and out reamains stable and that the inside and out

Overhang on patio - wood? Should it match the cladding
