total look of this home. What type of stone is used on the chimney and also the patio. Thanks!
Is this a shared chimney with an indoor fireplace on the backside?
And that can't be a pass-through fireplace: critters would use it to waltz on through into the house (unless a screen is in place, but who would want to spend their money heating or cooling
What I mean is, is there a fire place indoors as well that shares the same chimney as the outdoor fireplace in this picture?

existing house, ask your architect to consider how the land and home will bond.
I wish that our homes bond with and become inseparable from their land. Whether it’s Palladio’s Villa
on the exterior, they add visual interest to a home and — when covered in a complementary material — can provide a provocative contrast to the other volumes in the structure.
Fallingwater or anything else, all good homes start with an inexorable bond with the land they are part of. Form, color, view, topography, landscape etc. are all elements that inform and influence a home’s architecture. In the best cases, the land would be poorer if the home were not there. In the worse cases
a prominent feature of the home. Here the copper panels covering the chimney are similar in color to the cedar shingles. However, the copper differs in texture and scale from the rest of the exterior materials, thereby differentiating the volume.

Full design of a wood fireplace?
What are the dimension of the covered porch on the fireplace side.
Is this fireplace open to inside and out? What kind of structure is between the house wall and indoor/outdoor fireplace? Can one put an inside/outside placement of fireplace?
