For general reference.... The aprox. Cost for the total system (tanks, pumps,pipes,etc.) was about 15k. The tanks themselves were about 4k. While I personally have no problem with sand filters and chlorine (and have drunk form these kind of systems often), our local authorities here in washington state
state do. We are required to have two layers of particle filtration plus active UV for potable systems. non potable; all they care about is system separation and labeling.
