project is a Redwood siding from California. It was bleached at the factory before being installed for a permanent weathered look that is low in maintenance. Hope that helps! Cheers.

wood is redwood and it is finished with a clear penetrating sealer (TWP) so it is the natural color of the wood. Works well here as it is the north face of the house but if it gets a lot of sun exposure, it will eventually need to have a sealer that has color in it to protect it longer which we did on

The redwood board and batten is natural and has no sealer.

The eave and fascia materials are Redwood. They is no stain or sealer applied to them. The gutter in front of the fascia is copper.

Ipe or Redwood. Redwood takes the stain better and lasts a long time. Ipe is a real hard wood, so the stain will not absorb as well as Redwood, but Ipe will last forever.
