nice riff on Santa Fe style
The way the front wall and entryway protects the front courtyard
I like the low wall in front. Just enough to set off a courtyard but nit too much to lose the flow and openness.
The front exterior has a strong Santa Fe–style influence with its earth-inspired hues and drought-tolerant landscaping. Although the home is unique to the neighborhood, it blends well with the natural surroundings of Ojai.

The entry courtyard “tells the whole story of the house before you get to the front door,” Bruns says. “It puts you in a private outdoor space behind a screen wall, but still with a connection to the entry. You experience a level of privacy that’s only steps from the street.”Bruns painted the original
