vertical support elements. The structural support is provided by a coupling force developed by the two vertical elements and three glue-laminated beams. One of the beams is attached to the front of the house. The other two are on both sides of vertical elements. The most complicated part was to keep the relatively

Skylight wraps from horizontal to vertical. Not over a bed!
Picture of the extended skylight from the outside
nice siding spacing, use of accent color and skylight that wraps over wall
The skylight visible at the front of this house designed by Marina Rubina is an extension of a skinny window above the front door. Just as the window at the corner wraps from one side to the other, the skylight wraps from vertical to horizontal.

not this picture - just is it possible to carry the theme of the interior beams outside into pergola
Here steel beams extend past the house's enclosure as a framework for supporting an upper floor terrace. The columns (outside of the frame) and paving help to define this zone outside the house as a transition between exterior and interior.

Great use of the tapered beams and the T&G ceiling. Is there a cavity for insulation above the ceiling deck? Nice project. Troy
color and recessed beams on overhang
This is close to the overall look and style I am going for. I am not all that keen on the exposed beams just from a maintenance standpoint. I like the roof slope and windows.

This site is actually in full sun most of the day. The photo was taken late in the day when the sun was starting to set, therefore casting a shadow on the plants.

Shadow lines on the fascia boards are good for these thick roof panels. Light color tone of soffit boards under the eaves is attractive.
