Wow! My chairs look great! Thank you for posting this image. I so rarely get to see the final location of my work. They are made of fiberglass so each chair is about 50 lbs. Thanks again Mark Design. Beautiful.

A design trend that is on the rise in desert contemporary style is the blend of the interior and exterior space seamlessly. The outside view of the stairwell exposes the connection between outdoors, indoors and back out.
The southwest must be beautiful. Need to go
e and interior design here. "A design trend that is on the rise in Phoenix is the desire to seamlessly blend interior and exterior space," says Tate. "A greater appreciation of design principals such as sun orientation and thermal properties combined with more energy-efficient materials is allowing designers
designers to create this reality." He adds, "The desert can be a seasonally challenging place to live, but if well understood and respected … there is no place more pleasant to live."

I love the idea of having large inclosed Courtyard
a true interior courtyard. "We observed what worked locally and thought hard about how the home would be used," Howell says. "It was a matter of listening, interpreting and making a simple bold statement." The courtyard and house were planned around two existing trees, and the courtyard is centered around

House Style- vernacular Because vernacular design is specific to its site
hate the idea of having the guest house linked to the main house. I think I would want a lock on our side tho haha
vernacular design is specific to its site, it changes from place to place. Where gable roofs and wood lap siding are elements of the New England vernacular, adobe construction, simple forms and bright colors are vernacular elements in the Southwest. In fact, vernacular design was and continues to be adapted
of the Southwest Indians started to mix with a European, specifically Spanish, aesthetic that remains with us today.

get the idea. Thanks, Yeni
The client wanted the gates to look like you were entering the front door of the house - and then surprise you are still in the courtyard after entering! Custom designed by Hallmark Interior Design and built by Sonoran Doors.
custom designed by me and made locally in AZ. The manufacturer was Sonoran Doors. Price would be a custom quote - not a stock item.
Giving us a designated front door
throughout the Southwest. The tile roof, rustic wood beam and ornate detailing on the doors, as well as the courtyard plan of this house, are all elements of the style. This facade uses a regional stone in lieu of stucco, creating a strong connection to the natural surroundings.

northeast to southwest the southwest view would get the ku campus, the northeast could be looking to the pond and also onto the courtyard. Open concept breeze would blow through . Big concern would be how much noise the traffic would be.
