Questions8
What brand of windows were used and what porch railing was used. Thanks.
Hi, Did you use Pvc, wood, or fiber-cement trim? How did you make the drip cap on the skirtboard?
trim (and siding) is fiber cement. The porch columns/railings, etc.. are wood. The Rafters are wood. One special consideration I would mention is that
projecting window frame... The railings are not any particular "system", but just "stick built", 1x4 cap, double 1x4 upper rails sandwiching 2x2's at 4" o.c
c. w/ a 2x6 bottom rail (could use 2x8 or 2x10) - In this case, the bottom rail is cut w/ a sloping point at the top, and the pickets have an inverse point
Most manufacturers off the "wood grain".., but in my opinion it is "trying too hard", and if you actually look at "real" wood siding or trim.., it's flat
