Thanks for the question! We went to a local quarry and sourced flagstone for the shelves, it was relatively easy to find stone that blended with the wall cladding.
Where did you get the stone shelves from is it
it the same place as the stone veneer. Thank You
Thanks for your comment. Multicolor slate is known by many different names, it's more important to look at several sample pieces and make sure they'll work with your project. Slate is easy to track down at any stone or tile store. This particular one

Hello, There are no other photos of the mantle...sorry! The finish is a custom antique glaze; the finisher used umber over a biscuit beige base coat and then rubbed "rotten stone" into all

What is the stone used on the fireplace please?
The stone was a blue stone from a local quarry. Thank you for asking.
from the similar material. I am guessing they used 2 1/4" rock faced limestone. Installing a deep stone mantel gets a pit tricky due to the weight. The result is short shelf depth. Just make sure the stone mantel is supported properly.
Like the blue stone and texture...needs a pretty mantle

This is spectacular! Is the stone mitred at the corners?
I love this fireplace photo...it's Gorgeous! Would like to know the grout color used and how much space between tiles. Also is the stone tile honed and filled or just honed. Thank You!
products from one quarry can look similar to another from another quarry. Saltillo has a product called 'ocean' which has more blue cast and one with a more ivory cast. It's the horizontal lines that are so beautiful. Different product has different degrees of this striation.

What is the color of the Cultured Stone?
Is that real stone and how do you build that with the lights
The stone is a 'Cutured Stone' man-made product installed over a stud and plywood frame. The wiring for the lights was roughed-in before the plywood was installed.
love this with black. After considering hundreds of mantle designs for our "rustic" stone fireplace
is slightly bowed out and has a chiseled/hewn front edge. The other are flat/square wood. All are attached to the wood framework, as the stone is Cultured Stone veneer.
It is new construction. Just love the stone look of the fireplace with the mantles/lighting, etc. and was wondering how costly it would be.
