Spring Lake- Family Room
Pocket doors allow the multifunctional family room to become a private main floor fifth bedroom for weekend guests. Ottomans are used in lieu of a coffee table, offering extra seating as well as surface space and allowing better traffic flow. The proportionally-sized custom wall unit with strategically
strategically placed angles and touch-latch doors (eliminating protrusions) leaves just enough functional floor space for the queen-size mattress to open comfortably.
do a pocket door.?I never heard about that expression , maybe is an USA English .

Love the door so so much!!
Can you please tell me is it easy enough to put screen doors behind the doors? Is it the same type of screen door that opens from the center? Thank you so much for responding.
Grilles on outside or inside of glass?
I love the doors and we are about to order but I am struggling with whether to put the grilles on the inside or outside of the glass. Placing the grilles on the outside is preferable.....but the problem is cleaning. Does it look that much worse to place the grilles in between the glass. Thank you so
This was a Marvin door, and although it's been a long time I believe we used the "true divided lites" version of the door.

... doesn't the glass window destroy the acoustics of the room?
Kinda like the unbroken expanse of glass. Less busy than french doors & mullions.
this is the piece of glass I have in mind for an entry room. Only I imagine the room with that glass being the whole wall...so the room itself would be smaller. plain gable, vaulted ceiling.

I'm like the idea of having an entire side of the wall mostly of glass panels/doors that can be opened up when needed! Couple of questions for experts or folks who've had this in their
think having regular screens would defeat the purpose of opening / sliding glass panels. Are there mechanisms/products to deal with this and how effective are they? 2. We live in cold weather environment - Chicago. How do these glass panels perform in cold, windy weather? Are they energy efficient in extreme
multi-slide door systems. I recommend you find a local building supply company (window and door reps) to find out what products they recommend for your area. Typically the wood frame doors perform better in cold climates. 3. Again, this varies a lot depending on the manufacturer. These door systems are
