overhaul remodel. I'm curious as to the reasoning for 2 different counter materials for islands & countertops? And/or 2 different cabinetry material for islands vs wall cabinetry. Is it purely style/design/fad related or something more? Thanks so much for your help.

I no longer have this information readily available. You should have at least five feet of cabinetry flanking the fireplace to achieve this look.

All the cabinetry in this kitchen is by a local custom cabinet builder in Shelbyville, Indiana (south of Indianapolis) called Continental Custom Cabinetry.
This was a show house that I worked with an interior designer on. I don't have info on most of the accessories. I did the cabinetry design. Sorry!
