What product is recommended to finish maple butcher block counters?
I will be re-using maple butcher block countertops in a kitchen renovation....they have been sanded to natural state. In past I used mineral oil
countertops in the kitchen. That's why I need to get all the information on my own. I asked about solid maple wood here, and it looks like it is very expensive, but there are blocks of laminate maple wood at reasonable prices. Thanks a lot!
The island top looks like maple butcher block. The floor looks like White Oak :-)
Are the countertops all Maple? The pictures make the counters by the sink look like some type of stone- optical illusion?!

Tiny House
I know designers do not typically share their floor plans, but I would love to see a rough sketch of this home. I have a 980 square foot home that needs renovating and I love how you were able to fit the needs of the family in one tiny space. If only you lived near San Francisco
Like the easy deck with tree growing through. Would take this out to the maple tree and clear across front out house.
Size: 540 square feet; 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 sleeping loft That's interesting: The home is in its fifth use. Previously it was a single-family home in Vanport Village

how do you like it and what do you do to maintain it? Also, would you happen to know the name/pattern of the soapstone? Is the wooden countertop a maple butcher block? Loved how your home looks lived in...just my style! Thank you!
Just finding this - sorry. The island top is maple and I had a friend make it for me. I bought 2" slabs of maple and he glued them together and sanded them and put a nice chunky border around it. I use it for cutting and like the
you can expect some chipping (although not a lot). I love the stone b/c you can put anything down on it and nothing happens. To care for both the maple top and the stone, I just use mineral oil which you can buy pretty much anywhere. It is clear and not sticky. I pour it on rather generously and using

New Construction
Hello! I have a new maple dining table (the same style as the one featured in this photo) and just got six chairs, also a maple finish. They are lovely but I want to brighten the room, too much maple. The chairs are not antique, modified ladderback w wicker seats
