stone tiles (dark) with river rock border
the main hub of the home as all rooms branch off from here. Stairs lead to the dining and kitchen areas as well as the living and family rooms. The stone tiles define the space with an inlay river rock border. The long window that runs above the width of the doors lets in additional light and adds height

200 years, then used in a Main Line house for 100 years, so it’s on its third life. The mirror can slide along the barn door track. In the shower, pebble tile adds another organic element underfoot, while a window provides a view out to the valley.Sconces: O’Lampia Lighting; sliding hardware: Leatherneck

My husband and I are currently considering purchasing a stone house. The current owners indicate no central air is needed because the house stays cooler in the summer and warmer in winter than wood structures. (Location is on the Connecticut shore). Has this been true
Tell me the name of the stone and if available on E Coast
Looks like a PA fieldstone. Eldorado Stone makes a Padova Fieldstone or Orchard Cypress Ridge that looks close. Amazing home
Sent you an email with another stone I found on your website.
Our 140 year old stone house does stay much cooler. But once humidity gets inside it seems to hold it in much more. We do have central air and used it maybe 3 weeks this summer...in Western
