Love the ceiling, hoping to do the same. Are the plywood pieces laid over something to achieve the dark nickel gap? What size are these panels? Thank you so very much.
More on the ceiling, was wondering how you fastened it?
or screw it, or what? Also was the plywood prefinished? If not, how did you finish it?

store and left over from the rest of construction," says DeForest. This connected the ladder visually with the rest of the home, as the bright red plywood stringer was used in the cabinets, and the the region outdoors, as the treads were short pieces of the flooring salvaged from a nearby Amish farmhouse

Yum Yum Farm Ladder
beautiful simplistic design, love it ... how arre the plywood panals fastened and how thick
ooops. the ceiling is 1/2" pre finished plywood cut into strips and installed with finish nails (and glue, I think) with a gap between panels. The drywall was painted black behind the reveals to create a shadow line.
thanks ... i meant to ask about the plywood panels on the cieling .
igned that out of materials--plywood, salvaged flooring, steel--left over from the rest of the project. It was part of the overall cost so i don't have a specific figure. Good luck with you project. John DeForest
Yes, we custom designed that out of materials--plywood, salvaged flooring, steel--left
Look at how they applied ceiling treatment: 1/2 inch plywood fattened with finishing nails and glue onto Sheetrock painted black.
