what is the brand, style, and size of these columns? Also, what is the size of the porch? There is something very bold about a stout, wide, column. Like it.

Again, I'd estimate the widest part of column is probably about 12" - notice there is a taper to the columns (known as "entasis" in classical architecture). Note: I am making estimates by comparing columns proportionally with other elements, such as windows/doors beyond

Where did these great columns come from?
Has the wood in the beams been treated in any way? We have just placed some reclaimed heart pine in our kitchen as columns and are deciding whether to stain or oil them, or leave them alone.... They just had paint removed from them, so they look freshly milled right now.
Use reclaimed structural element as your feature column (after clearing it with your structural engineer)
feet, immediately adjacent to the column
Love these wooden columns. If we need some, could we reclaim them from grandpas property?
Let your column tell a story. Consider using a reclaimed structural element as your feature column (after clearing it with your structural engineer, of course).
