The steel beams are great but in Ontario how do they perform? When it freezes how to keep the frost from transferring to the inside? Also how to finish the beams to keep them looking good in this wet/cold climate. I live in Milwaukee WI and love this

I live in South Carolina- mid state. We get snow every ten years or so. But it does freeze here and we have frost possible from Nov - March. I like this how it is open, that is what we are planning to do. Thank you for your help.

is contemporary to modern-ish (but short of minimalist or industrial look). Going with White cabinets (stainless steel contemporary pulls and some frosted glass doors), white quartz counters, and stainless steel appliances. Do not want the high gloss/European cabinets; but are now stuck on the decision
