Hi, I adore this room - esp the floors. What material was used underneath the fireplace? It appears to be a sheet of brushed steel? Thanks!
seems to just look at the practicality of it - for the sole purpose of hanging the tv but I am concerned about the aesthetics. How do professional designers feel about this? Even with a clean job, I think the top portion will still show where the covering begins as it won't completely cover the niche
Neat idea with the stove in the fireplace.

worth thinking about. I've actually been looking for something very close to this design. Perhaps with a water closet in the center and a small kitchenette on one side. Like the Edith Farnsworth glass house. I like this design much better however. Do you have anything else similar?

Regulating temperature in the greenhouse concerned Flavin. It’s a glass house in New England, so various warming methods were used to keep the plants thriving and the homeowners comfortable in winter. The central fireplace heats the tearoom portion

Timber Tea House

Example of an enclosed side, open at top for ventilation. I like the footing, the design of the sill at bottom, the cantilevered porch, and the roof, of course.
An opuscule can be an open-air structure nestled in the woods to take in the view. Perhaps a small wood-burning stove or fireplace adds just the right amount of heat for comfort.
Called the Timber Tea House, this Vermont structure by Birdseye Design brings the outdoors in (or the indoors out?) with comfort.

The interior opens directly into the back yard and garden by using Krown Lab's ROB ROY sliding barn door hardware on a wall of moveable windows. By designing in this flexibility they really blend the line between living spaces and bring the outdoors in.
