Could we do this in the backyard by creating a small covered space for yoga and meditation.
wonderful thing about creating a destination in your own backyard is that size matters far less than the simple fact that it is there. Even a closet-size space can feel like a luxury when you take a path to get there.See more of this kit-greenhouse-turned-office

would use this as a rec space for the kids. Love the transparency
Great use of the outdoors for office space and inspiration!
office has skylights in the roof, flooding it with natural light and saving wall space for that all important storage.
Max the indoor-outdoor vibeThis rustic room in a London back garden is the perfect getaway. There’s space in which to relax, work or read, and doors allow one wall to be completely open
it could equally be used as a playroom, teenagers’ den, craft space or even a utility room.

A couple of questions: 1) is this a bad idea? 2) what insulation is best?

The flooring is reclaimed cypress. The cabinets were specially designed for the space - (Brookhaven cabinetry- Winfield door style- Heartwood Maple- Natural with a black glaze). Unsure of paint color as it was chosen by the home owner. Hope this helps
I am inspired by the look and feel of this space. The floors, ceiling and wall color provides an enjoyable and relaxing space for tying flies!
wood, finished, could double as dining/entertaining area.
This would be a great Man's Work space.

Probably not enough space, but pretty fantastic looking
Because the studio no longer functions as a space for cars, the driveway also has a new life as a patio. Concrete planters allow Dana’s green thumb more gardening opportunities while separating the grilling zone from the studio space. There's no telling what great work will manifest from this artist/guest
