The kitchen and dining area sits to the right of the door. The two chairs once belonged to Art's parents. Others in the community have painted their porches the same minty green, so Emma fondly calls the chipping paint color "porch green."

The plywood was cut into about 18" high by 8 long boards and the edges were routed so that it overlapped like panelling and we left a space between board edges of 3/16" to reinforce the horizontal
plywood (for the walls) and stainless steel (for the fixtures and baseboards) to reduce the need for repairs; and installed industrial light fixtures, high-performance windows and skylights to reduce energy loss.
