Which direction are the windows facing?
Just wondering if the windows are facing south to let in sunlight (with a northern roof pitch) or if the roof is facing south so that it melts the snow off
area that has 10-ft. of snow, I would be a bit nervous about a north-facing roof. By the way, make sure you over-insulate the roof (R-50 or more) and have a 2" air space above the insulation so that the interior heat does not reach your roof surface.
