I found the floor info helpful. thank you. Does the floor need a drainage system in the garage floor for winter snow mess? And will the floor be slippery when wet?

Fabulous lighting - a room-sized skylight!
natural light in working space must be relaxing and cheering you..
A long skylight at the back provides natural light to the rustic workspace. See the rest of this studio
right up to the ceiling. This home office ensures that storage will never be an issue by incorporating shelving into every available wall. Natural light then flows in via a huge skylight, rather than conventional windows.

Great lights - could you please tell us where to buy them?
beautiful! Please share source of lights above garage doors. Thanks.
Thanks! Unfortunately, the lights were purchased by the client so we don't know where they are from.

Santa Ynez Barn
on a ranch in Santa Ynez, it was clad with translucent glass panels which express the structure at night and flood the interior space with free soft light during the day. Photo Credit: Claudio Santini
major industries also does something similar. Decent product and it is not comparable to glass...apples and oranges. Depends what you want...filtered light or a view...or a mix. They do tend to yellow over the years...so beware of that.
walls/glass allows light in with privacy
Ambient light. Tall barn like ceiling space.
Love the open space and light
translucent wall panels work the same way during the day: Shadows from the trees are cast on the exterior, and the interior is covered with a very even light.

you can check out this link to our site: http://www.studio-shed.com/faqs or build you shed in the configurator to see the cost of a floating floor system for your "dream shed." http://www.studio-shed.com/shed-configurator/step1.php Of course, please feel free to send a message if you need more i

What type of siding is used and what type of stain is on it? We have cedar siding on our house and use Sikkens two system stain but with our harsh eastern Canadian winters we have to apply the second coat frequently and after 25 years it's showing its age.
clerestory windows. pros, hard for people to look into, very cool and different looking. Cons, don't add a lot of light or energy, more for the looks. I would put these windows across the side of my house
Overhangs with lighting, clerestory windows, wood siding
I like the windows letting in natural light in the garage. Also like the slanted roof.
warmth from the sun in winter. The clerestory windows on this retreat by Finne Architects in the Cascade Mountains in eastern Washington not only add light and heat during the snowy season, but also visually lift the roof. This prevents the building from looking too top heavy, especially when it's piled

Joisted floor systems start at $450 and in this type of installation, the only requirement is that the site is level within
