What is the color of the green stain used on the house? We love it and want to reproduce the color.
Hi there, I didn't get back to you sooner because I had to track down the info. The stain is Sherwin WiIliam's Oil based, semi-transparent, "Foliage" on rough cut spruce. This stain cannot be purchased as an oil-base in NYS anymore and maybe other states. However, It is available in a water base.

This is the color we want for our house red cedar house. You said that you used a cabot semi-trans stain. Do you know what color and how many coats?

Sorry, but I do not have a magic answer for your question. If you decide to have exterior stained wood siding, then a maintenance program every 2-5 years (depending on exposure) is part of that decision.
Hi, Thanks for your question about the Mazama garage/guest house. The exterior siding is western red cedar, and the stain is two coats of Cabot's Semi-Transparent Stair, Red Cedar color. On recent projects, we have switched to Sikkens Cetol 1, 23Plus. You might also
