I have 60" from my table to my island (not including chairs). We start drywall next wk, electrical tomorrow. I am panicked about it not being enough. if both chairs are pulled out I would think a minimum of 66" would
see how it looks with different combinations. If you're bringing the cabinets to the ceiling, double panel doors could work-- it can be difficult to get to and utilize the space up there, so it's convenient for decoratives.
