Stone facade in upper hallway too much?
I like the way the stone walls are done and their color. The doorway is pretty too!
Bold statement with the stonework. Looks like an old castle, which I love.
To much stone... but like the elegant feel of this
i just like the stone in this pic - varied in color and no grout and not perfect in size and stacking; I think the design on the right is smaller and I don't care for that as much but straight on (the arch) and the left wall the stones look bigger

Elk Ridge Lodge
family. Throughout the design process, the height of the home to its relationship on the ridge it sits, was recognized the as one of the design challenges. Techniques such as terracing roof lines, stretching horizontal stone patios out and strategically placed landscaping; all were used to help tuck
its setting. Earthy colored and rustic exterior materials were chosen to offer a western lodge like architectural aesthetic. Dry stack parkitecture stone bases that gradually decrease in scale as they rise up portray a firm foundation for the home to sit on. Historic wood planking with sanded chink joints
interior to the exterior and take full advantage of the views that virtually surround this home. Upon entering the home you are encased by massive stone piers and angled cedar columns on either side that support an overhead rail bridge spanning the width of the great room, all framing the spectacular

Shingle style home in Hanover NH
Mark - really like the stone archway.
Like the stone archway but not this stone.
Like the stone, arch and wall sconce
Stone archways are common on the outside of the house, but using one indoors reminds me of exposed brick in city apartments. Its rougher aesthetic balances well against the soft, neutral palette of this space.

Bank Barn Renovation
Bank Barn Renovation: Wynnewood, Pennsylvania Thick fieldstone stone walls and a solid hand hewed chestnut post and beam frame provide the existing structure. The Barn, built in 1862, is set into a gentle slope with an entry court and koi pond providing a new foreground to the house. The existing two
wood frame space, that once contained bails of hay, is enclosed to become the new entry, gallery and dining room. A large opening in the south facing stone wall connects the interior of the house to the landscape. The interior of the house plays like a big tree house. Lighted from above, all the rooms of
deliberate choice to reuse the existing structure and integrate the new architecture into the old makes this story rewarding and interesting. The narrative of old and new intertwining enriches both. Note how the stone here differs from that in the previous example, not only in color and form but in the mortar

What sort of stone is the floor made of, please ?
This looks like Jerusalem Gray Gold tumbled stone versalles pattern.
Presumably the floor - layer would say where (which quarry/ distributer ) he obtained the stone, and what kind of rock it was ciut from (limestone, travertine etc)
and living room. I would like to know what type of wood have you used for your window door frames, and if the flooring is also from you, what type of stone is it and where can i import them to my country? I will appreciate an answer asap,if you can, sorry for my urgency. Best Wishes…..
like the stone and woodwork with interesting seats - braches?
unmistakably rustic, and can work in any space. A higgledy-piggledy arrangement of different sizes like this adds to the relaxed, old-world look. If your property is built of stone, further enhance the country mood by exposing it on one of the walls.
