How was the wood on the walls finished?
how were these floors finished? Will this pine wear out quickly because pine is such a soft wood? People have tried to steer me away from using it.
Smooth or rough sawn? Whitewash finish used?
Thanks for the kudos!!!! The painter and floor finisher were two different people. The common element is that the walls and floors are both reclaimed wood.
What finish did you apply to the T&G?
I would guess it is the patina of reclaimed wood plus a type of protective finish.
Lots of good ideas here...transom windows, wide plank floors, alternating dark and light finishes, wood walls...
Frederick + Frederick Architects It is river recovered heart pine. With clear finish!
