How did you avoid having to put a balustrade at the edge of the combine floor and counter? I want to do the same in a new build, and am coming across all sorts of constraints.
difference at all. Mdglaser: Thanks for your compliment. The floors are made from recycled Grey Ironbark, a native Australian hardwood. They were sourced from a demolished bridge in Queensland, then shipped down to Victoria and re-milled into floorboards.

All the cabinetry in the house is clear alder, The cabinets in the hallway have an old growth pine countertop (leftover flooring), interior doors are knotty Alder.
