kind of wood floor is that?
How was the wood on the walls finished?
how were these floors finished? Will this pine wear out quickly because pine is such a soft wood? People have tried to steer me away from using it.
What are the floors made from or bought from
purchased a home with an old carriage house. The carriage house is paneled inside with 7" barn siding. Want to use the barn wood as flooring in the actual house. Should it be milled for tongue and groove, or left solid? any other suggestions. thx
What company were the floors purchased from?
What type of flooring did you use?
Is the wood on the walls a lap board tongue and groove, or just pine board nailed to the walls?
painter and floor finisher were two different people. The common element is that the walls and floors are both reclaimed wood.
Salvaged wood forms the majority of the interior structure and the floors. Light is introduced deep into the house through doors, windows, clerestories, and dormer windows. The house is organized along two long enfilades that order space and invite long views through the building and to the landscape
is the floor color and wood?

How are these floors holding up? Or how do painted floors hold up in general?
entire floor with 2 coats of finish.
Painting a wood floor can be a less expensive alternative to refinishing your floors. What's great about painting wood flooring is that it works just as well for modern homes as it does for traditional homes. It's a pretty simple process that just takes a little
sand the floors down with either a floor sander or a hand sander. Remove the excess dust with a wet mop, and allow the floors to dry. It's best to use an exterior grade paint, and if you want real durability, I would suggest and oil-based enamel. You may want to prime the floors first. I suggest waiting
after the floor has been sanded to at least 100grit. The wash coat is 20% dilution of the finish. I use a waterborne poly finish by BONA called Mega. To create the diamonds mask off the floor with frog tape making sure to really seal the edges. To get the with colour use titanium white pigment about 10 grams

Love the floors! How were they done?
I am looking to do a similar finish in an old home I am renovating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The floor is lacquered oak. With the time the paint deteriorates and gives this vintage look. If you have a hardwood floor you can consult a specialist to check out it and ask if it's possible to lacquer it in white. Or you always can install a natural oak wood flooring and paint over
