Beautiful house! What kind of stone is that on the fireplace?
Well yes, it requires cleaning of course, as does any house, and in this case the minimization of edges and multiple surfaces makes cleaning more efficient. Whether it's a wall or a bookshelf, or a glass facade, dirt or dust will accumulate over time. Odd question though, are you trying to suggest

is quite a gutsy use of color in this small space. It required several painstaking coats of high gloss paint to achieve this look. While most of the house is finished in a neutral palette, this Butler's Pantry as well as the red Study make quite a statement with color.
