A custom water jet cut aluminum screen

I think something like this could work for a ceiling but it would require a fair amount of supporting structure beneath. Water jet cut panels tend to be thin, in our case, 3/8" so they wouldn't be able to span very far on their own. If you had beams across your space at a regular
