Another way...Hold 5/8" drywall up 1" from finished floor, factory edge down. Order self stick edge banding from Mcfeely, comes in all colors. Apply to exposed wood subplate. Cheaper than aluminum.

Thank you! The door its self is from Heister House Millwork in Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA. The stain glass above it was made by Cumberland Stained Glass, also in PA. Hope this helps
