Retro styled oak cabinet that also doubles up as a radiator cabinet. Back of the cabinet wraps around the radiator with a large space for the movement of air. Back is sealed with reflective foil whilst the front section of the cabinet functions as a shallow credenza.

Maple is a bit stronger than oak and shows less grain and striations, but it takes stain differently than oak because the base color is yellow. Maybe you could have your flooring contractor make some samples for you. That's what we did here -- samples were made until we got the stain color exactly right
is it french bleed? if so how do you create the look? we are planing our floors. Want oak as it is stronger and would like to stain it walnut, dont like the live patterns to show and rift is so expensive. Any suggestions?

Can you tell me what color & type of stain is on the white oak wood wall?
rift sawn White Oak with an oil finish.
They look great. We are using an Oiled/Wax finish over White Oak in our prefinished line. Rift & Quartered Oak is really beautiful. The rays and flakes from the Quarter Sawn process really set those floors apart.

The floor is lacquered oak. With the time the paint deteriorates and gives this vintage look. If you have a hardwood floor you can consult a specialist to check out it and ask if it's possible to lacquer it in white. Or you always can install a natural oak wood flooring and paint over it.
It is just painted wood. The hardwood floor is oak.

for the walls? I'm assuming semi-gloss for the trim? I also LOVE the flooring and want to duplicate it for refinishing our white oak floors. However, we have red oak railings and treads (with iron banisters) and our contractor has pretty much left us hanging on how to get it all done and blended well
