This is a healthy idea...turn the upstairs into a workout space!
2. Convert the attic into an exercise retreatWhen you really want to escape from the crazy crowd (ie your family!), the attic is a perfect hideaway. While it’s tempting to use it as a private zone to luxuriate, it can also work as a place to get fit. Here, the

wall at stairs separate color? Designated mat space for equipment
Use of common space for gym instead of a dedicated room.
5. Stair workout. Tuck a small workout space right beneath that awkward area under the stairs to your basement. Remember, you don't need an entire room to devote to exercising. Place your favorite equipment into the tightest spaces and you'll never have an excuse to miss a workout again
great place to set up shop. Placed next to the staircase, this space-efficient gym uses an elevated platform to help divide the large room without any constricting walls.
Basement. Tuck a small workout area right beneath that awkward space at the bottom of the stairs in the basement. Don't trick yourself
with work out space don't like décor but like set-up
....and an exercise space in sun room/greenhouse
ceiling --- do like laminate hardwood flooring. gym space must have natural light --- ideally part of walk out basement.

Family recreation barn gym
electrical work….. Another 100K with structural material Brick, foundation etc…. That floor is another 100K easy…..Im guessing 250K- 300K for this space….. You got that?
Every home fitness centre needs a big open space.
Great space, basketball court looks awesome
A little out of the norm but none the less a great space with cool exposed beams
i have seen the floor, its grey particle, is it carpet or cement. And how much space would it need to build a house to make such a room in it?
still in the house space. Your family could come running through the house when you're playing basketball, this way you won't feel left out. The one negative could be if you wanted privacy/away time while you played, this wouldn't give you that.
like the room above looking onto the floor gives space for adults to monitor kids
1. Michigan home for basketball lovers. This carpeted indoor basketball court can be seen from all of the main rooms in the house, so the family members can cheer one another on. Houzz users loved how this incredible court can double as a workout room.
